PHP Web Developer

Location: Toronto, ON
Assignment: Full Time
Pay Rate:  $50,000 to $60,000 per year
Start Date: November 2011

Overview

GameTime provides specialized online booking capabilities for  sports and health clubs. Our web based system enables clients to book facilities and staff at their club. We book; racquet courts, personal trainers, wellness appointments, yoga classes, social events and much more.  Each day our system handles  approximately 20,000 bookings  for clients throughout North America. We strive to build our products to the highest standards, ensuring GameTime as the preferred choice for sports clubs.
We work in a small and effective team environment that encourages innovation, brain storming and new ideas to continually improve code, architecture, design, usability, features and the our overall product.

Job Description

You will be responsible for developing new modules and features that enable our clients to be more productive. We work in a LAMP object oriented environment that uses the “MVC” methodology and the zend framework for PHP development.
A passion and curiosity for building innovative software is definitely an asset as we continually  improve our product and create an amazing experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:

• Write server-side code for web based applications
•  Organizing system architecture
• Improve database performance
• developing new modules, features and a scalable codebase.
• Maintaining development deadlines will be a key goal as we and keep pace with demand. Guiding development, recommending improved code structures.
• Interact with clients to support business relationships

Skill Set

• BS, or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Experience in web based object oriented development
• Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP
• HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ajax & YUI
• Framework Experience (php – zend framework, javascript, ajax, YUI2) a plus
• MVC , Model View Controller methodology
• Interpersonal and team based skills

Compensation

Pay Rate:  $50,000 to $60,000 per year based on experience and knowledge

New Business Development/ Customer Management

Job Description

In this role you will be proactivley market and sell GameTime products to new clients through North America. You'll definatley need to be internet savvy, energetic and keen to work with people. Online and in-Person presentations are often required as are tradeshows in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Organize the sales strategy
• Be results oriented and driven to succeed
• Able to manage new account setup and correspondance with client
• Cold calling and Email correspondance
• Be confident, highly organized and have solid planning skills
• Good presentation skills
• Teamwork will be essential

Compensation
